We’d been talking for months, but had never met in person. Ateasa was living in Vancouver Canada, and I was in the states. We would stay up all night talking on the phone, sharing our secrets and desires. It was like we were already married.

But there was one big secret we were both keeping: we had never actually seen each other’s faces. We were both embarrassed about how we looked and didn’t want to ruin the fantasy by revealing our true appearances to each other.

Finally, after months of build-up, we decided to meet face-to-face. We arranged to meet in a park halfway between our two homes.
